Donna Abraham is a Cranial Sacral therapist with 14 years experience. She works in a variety of holistic modalities including Kinesiology, One Brain therapy and Jin Shin Acupressure. She has a strong background in Chinese medicine theory. She received her qualification and training in Cranial Sacral through the Upledger Insstitute, based in Palm Beach , Florida. She also studied at the Upledger center in Tel Aviv, with top European instructors, as well as other respected Upledger –trained mentors.At present, the main focus in her work is Cranial Sacral therapy with applications ranging from emotional trauma defusion (somato-emotional release work) to dealing with birth trauma in infants, learning and behavioral problems in children, as well as many physical and emotional problems in adults. Cranial Sacral is a light touch therapy which involves the therapist reading and evaluating the movement of energy as it flows through the cranial sacral system: the spine and the brain. The trained cranial therapist has the ability to feel the subtle tidal movements of the flow as it transmits neurological information through out the system. This allows the therapist to then help diffuse and rebalance the energetic system of the body, sometimes with subtle manipulation and therapeutic touch, and sometimes employing the somato-emotional release work through visualization and other methods.
